HEAP OPERATING SCHEDULE

The GEOLEACH™ process can be operated as either an “on-off” pad or a continuous pad with multiple lifts. The preferred method of operation (where land is limited) is to stack and reclaim simultaneously from the opposite sides of a “slot” which advances continuously from one end of the rectangular heap to the other - the so-called “moving slot method”. Depending on pad size, land availability and site topography, alternative configurations may be considered.

Most conventional copper operations perform only day-shift stacking; the GEOLEACH ™ is flexible and would stack on a schedule suitable to the situation and operator preference. Full cycle stacking reduces the size of stacking equipment required but involves operation of stacking systems at night.
