Overall Design Concept
GEOCOAT® is designed to provide continuous operation, corresponding with production of concentrate and downstream metals recovery operations. This is accomplished by stacking the concentrate-coated support rock in discrete panels on the pad. Aeration and irrigation systems are designed so each panel can be controlled separately throughout the leach cycle. Design of the pad, and the stacking and reclaiming operations, is based on required biooxidation time and the number of cycles per year.
