Steve C. Brady, President and Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Brady joined the Company in 1996 as Vice President, Business Development, with responsibility for marketing the Company's technologies and business development. He was appointed President in January 2001 and as Chief Executive Officer, effective as of June 28, 2007. Prior to joining the Company, he spent more than twenty-five years in the mining industry, most recently as Vice President, Business Development with MinCorp Ltd., an engineering and construction services firm. Previously, he held positions of Vice President-Marketing for Minproc Engineers, Senior Sales Manager with Fluor Mining and Metals, and various engineering, technology development, and marketing positions at Dorr-Oliver Inc. and Dorr-Oliver Pty. Ltd. in Australia. Mr. Brady has extensive experience in marketing and selling in the international mining industry, and in business development. Mr. Brady holds a Professional Engineering degree in Metallurgy from the Colorado School of Mines.
J. Christopher Mitchell, Vice President Finance, Chief Financial Officer, Secretary and Treasurer.
Mr. Mitchell was appointed to his current positions upon joining GeoBiotics in September 2006. He has been employed in the minerals industry for over 35 years, initially as a metallurgist and financial analyst. Over that period, he has held positions of increasing responsibility in corporate finance and administration, marketing of base and precious metals concentrates, environmental permitting and senior executive management with mining companies in Canada and the United States whose shares are listed on The Toronto Stock Exchange. In July 2003, Mr. Mitchell formed Adera Company Management, Inc., which provides financial and administrative support services to several clients active in mineral exploration. In the 16 years prior to mid-2003, he served as Senior Vice President with Viceroy Resource Corporation, a gold mining company; Executive Vice President and CFO of Orvana Minerals Corp., a gold exploration and mining company, and Executive Vice President and CFO of Constellation Copper Corporation, a copper mining company. Mr. Mitchell is a director of Orvana Minerals Corp., First Point Minerals Corp. and Endurance Gold Corporation. He was educated at the University of British Columbia, where he earned B. Sc. (Hon. Chemistry), M. Sc. (Metallurgy) and M.B.A. (Finance) degrees. Mr. Mitchell is a registered Professional Engineer in British Columbia.
J. Todd Harvey, Vice President, Copper Technologies
Dr. Harvey joined GeoBiotics in 1997 as Senior Project Engineer and served as Project Manager for the Company's field projects in Ghana. He left the Company in 1999 to pursue an MBA degree in Canada, but continued to provide contract services to the Company during his absence. He returned to the Company in October 2001 as Vice President, Research and Development, with responsibility for managing field projects and major research and test programs, including application of the GEOCOAT® technology to commercial operations. Recently, Dr. Harvey was promoted to Vice President, Copper Technologies, with responsibilities for the commercialization of the GEOCOAT® and GEOLEACH™ processes. Prior to re-joining the Company in 2001, Dr. Harvey was Director of Metals, Mining and Minerals Marketing for Honeywell International. Previously, he was Process Manager for International Gold Resources at the Bibiani Mine in Ghana and Autoclave Metallurgist for Barrick Gold Company at the Goldstrike Mine in Nevada. Dr. Harvey was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of GeoSynFuels in October 2006. Since that time, Dr. Harvey has had dual roles as President and CEO of GeoSynFuels and Vice President, Copper Technologies of the Company. GeoSynFuels reimburses GeoBiotics for that portion of Dr. Harvey's salary and benefits attributable to the time he spends each month on GeoSynFuels' business activities. Dr. Harvey holds Ph.D., M.S. and B.Sc. degrees in Mining Engineering and Mineral Processing from Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario, Canada, an MBA degree from the University of New Brunswick in Canada, and a BS degree in Metallurgical Engineering Technology from Ryerson University in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
Paul I. Harvey, General Manager- Base Metals.
Mr. Harvey joined GeoBiotics in 2005 as a Process Engineer and was appointed Manager Africa in October 2005. He is currently based in Johannesburg, South Africa but will be relocating to the Company's office in Lakewood, Colorado in September 2007. He will be appointed Vice President – Base Metals following his relocation to Lakewood. Mr. Harvey holds B.Sc and M.Sc. degrees in Chemical Engineering from the University of Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, and has 10 years experience in the mineral technology field specializing in mineral biotechnology. He is currently studying part-time for an MBA from the University of Witwatersrand, Johannesburg. He gained operating experience at Fairview Mine BIOX® plant in South Africa and with Alliance Copper Limited in Chile. Mr. Harvey acquired bioleach piloting, process modeling, plant design and feasibility study skills with BHP Billiton Technology in South Africa. He was involved in the process model development, design, commissioning and operation of the Alliance Copper Limited BioCOP® Prototype Plant in Chile. Mr. Harvey left BHP Billiton in March 2005 to focus on consulting in minerals biotechnology and the development of heap leaching simulation models. He is responsible for managing all GeoBiotics' field programs and major research and testwork programs, including applications of the GEOCOAT® and GEOLEACHTM technologies to commercial base metal operations.
Michael J. Gunn, Manager - Australia
Mike joined GeoBiotics in 2004 as Manager, Australia and is based in Brisbane, Australia. He holds a B.App.Sc. in Metallurgy from the University of New South Wales, and has over 29 years experience in the mineral processing industry specializing in operations and process design. Mike gained operating experience with Anglo American in Zambia, CRA in Bougainville, then with RGC, Selwyn and Ok Tedi in Australasia. He acquired feasibility study and process design skills working with Minproc Engineers, and later consulting to major engineering and consulting groups. He has undertaken a broad range of mineral processing and hydrometallurgy design and process consulting assignments both overseas and in Australia, largely in base metals and gold. Mike gained commercial and marketing experience with Armco and Minproc, then in the start- up and management of a small engineering design firm and a chemicals manufacturing plant in Queensland in the 1990s. In the same period Michael held the position of Technical Director of a listed exploration and project development group. Mike is responsible for business and technical development opportunities for GEOCOAT in Australia and surrounding countries.
Paul I. Harvey, Manager - Africa
Paul joined GeoBiotics in 2005 as a Process Engineer was appointed Manager
Africa in October 2005. He is based in Johannesburg, South Africa. Jean Joubert, Process Engineer - Africa
Jean joined GeoBiotics in 2006 as Process Engineer and is based in Pretoria, South Africa. Jean holds a B. Eng (Chemical, Minerals Processing) degree from the University of Stellenbosch and has 10 years experience in minerals processing. Prior to joining GeoBiotics Jean was employed by Kumba Resources as part of the Continuous Improvements Group at the Rosh Pinah Mine in Namibia. Jean has also held the position of Director Of Roasting and Smelting Research. Jean has extensive experience in flotation, hydrometallurgy, pyrometallurgy and general mineral processing, gained while working at Okorusu fluorspar mine, the Rosh Pinah lead and zinc mine, Zincor zinc smelter and in his research and consulting roles. Jean has also been part of due diligence and process design teams focused on the evaluation of projects for Kumbas acquisition. Jean has experience in South Africa, Zimbabwe, Namibia and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Lori Lewis, Office Manager
Lori joined GeoBiotics in 2007 as Office Manager. Lori has extensive experience in administration, accounting, payroll and human resources. |
